TJ was a new man after his procedure and he continued to stay in the gym and take his classes in his living room with Tae Bo legend Billy Blanks. He leaned up by the next year and decided to audition for the local step team where he was introduced percussive dance. He was able to use his entire body as an instrument to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand claps.

While traveling, TJ would always stop into a gym to take group fitness classes, such as boot camp and turbo kick. He also decided to teach two –stepping and hip hop classes while at his university.  TJ’s senior year of college he decided to take a boot camp class in Austin, Texas that his agency recommended, which was Core Fit by Ryan Nail. Ryan became a true inspiration to TJ. He inspired TJ to become a Certified Personal Trainer. He also wanted to learn more about fitness, due to having a family history of cancer, diabetes and high cholesterol.  After receiving his Bachelors Degree in Communications and Media Studies from Texas State University, he decided to get certified and received his Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) from PFTA in Austin, Texas.

He decided to stay in Austin after receiving his certification where he would train and work on his music. He released an EP and would preform in clubs around Austin in the evenings and he would train in the daytime.

TJ moved back to Dallas after learning of his grandfather’s illness and decided to be home with family. He decided to take classes at 24 Hour Fitness. TJ took a Cardio Dance class that was taught by his now good friend and co founder Natalia and realized that they shared the same passion for dance and fitness.

TJ believes that everything in life happens for a reason. He believes that meeting Natalia is a blessing and that RX Moves is the ultimate prescription for health and fitness.
